We are a husband and wife team with a combined 23 years of experience writing résumés and other professional materials. Our experience and graduate level backgrounds in Business and English ensure that all of our customers leave with polished, expertly-written résumés using the most relevant industry language. Lauren Cardon, PhD

Lauren first began writing professional résumés in 2003, while working for Strategic Résumés in New Orleans, Louisiana. Before moving to Tuscaloosa, she founded and operated a career services business called The Image Advisor for five years. Lauren earned her PhD in English from Tulane University, and she has published two books on American literature (with a third forthcoming), as well as a book on student writing. Currently, she is a professor of English at the University of Alabama.

Thomas Altman, MBA

Thomas developed his expertise in writing Business Plans and other professional materials while completing his MBA. Prior to this, Thomas spent his career working in a diverse set of jobs - in the hospitality industry, as a freelance consultant, and teaching himself fullstack web development. Today, he works designing and managing the development of software products. Having started as a server in the hospitality industry, earned a graduate degree, and initiated a successful career in software development, Thomas has experienced firsthand how a good résumé can be a career changer.

Our Process

1. Purchase Your Service

Identify the résumé that best fits your profile. Once you click on it, you will be prompted to pay, after which you’ll receive a confirmation.

2. Complete Our Questionnaire

After confirmation, you will be prompted to complete a questionnaire, as well as to update an older résumé (if you have one). Filling out this form allows clients to skip a lengthy phone consultation and enter the details at their convenience.

3. Look for Our Email

After submitting your questionnaire, you’ll receive an email from us within 24 hours. We may have follow-up questions, or else we’ll just let you know that we’ve begun working on your résumé. Clients can also email or call us with any questions or additions during this phase of the process.

4. Get Your New Résumé!

When we have completed your résumé, we will send it to you in both MS Word and PDF format. You will have a chance to review the document and request any minor changes (a corrected address, a detail you might have forgotten, etc.) for free within one week of receiving it.
